OUR
STORY

We are Trouble Child, an art magazine focused on normalizing self expression and inspiring teens to embrace their most creative selves. The special thing about us is that we are entirely independently run -- from start to finish.
It all started with Samara Wilson (left), a young black girl (the youngest on the team) in desperate need of an outlet to express herself while also allowing others to do the same. She loved to tell stories, so she wanted to tell a story of young teenage rebellion with a twist. She wanted to explore the endless possibilities of storytelling. So, on December 20, 2019, she started a magazine. The rest is history.
